- Canned baked beans28 oz
- Burnt ends or pork trimmings1 cup
- Molasses1/4 cup
- Bell pepper (any color)1 medium
- Onion1/2 medium
- BBQ sauce1/4 cup
- Brown sugar2 tablespoons
- Yellow mustard1 tablespoon
- Apple cider vinegar1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder1 teaspoon
- Chili powder1/2 teaspoon
- Salt1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper1/4 teaspoon

In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, combine the canned baked beans, diced bell pepper, and diced onion.
Add the molasses, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the bean mixture. Stir well to combine.
Gently fold in the burnt ends or pork trimmings.
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. The longer it simmers, the more the flavors will meld together.
Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more BBQ sauce for a sweeter flavor, or a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little extra heat.
Serve hot as a side dish with your favorite BBQ meats.
