Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, diced onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan.
In a small saucepan, combine bourbon, brown sugar, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce thickens slightly.
Pour the bourbon glaze over the meatloaf.
Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the mashed potatoes. Peel and boil the potatoes until tender.
Drain the potatoes and mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
Once the meatloaf is cooked, let it rest for 10 minutes.
Transfer the mashed potatoes to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
Pipe the mashed potatoes over the meatloaf in a decorative pattern.
Broil the meatloaf for 2-3 minutes, or until the mashed potatoes are lightly browned.
Slice and serve.
