- Slivered or sliced almonds1/4 cup

- Toasted sesame oil1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced2 cloves
- Fresh ginger, grated1 teaspoon
- Sriracha or red pepper flakes1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil (or other neutral oil)1 tablespoon
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)1 teaspoon

Trim the ends off the green beans. If desired, you can snap or cut them into smaller, bite-sized pieces.
In a small dry skillet over medium-low heat, toast the slivered almonds for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until lightly golden and fragrant. Be careful not to burn them. Remove from skillet and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and Sriracha (or red pepper flakes). Set aside.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the trimmed green beans and a pinch of salt and pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are bright green and crisp-tender. If they start to dry out, you can add a tablespoon or two of water and cover briefly to steam.
Pour the prepared soy-sesame sauce over the green beans in the skillet. Toss well to coat all the beans evenly. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to slightly thicken and coat the beans.
Remove from heat. Transfer the green beans to a serving dish. Sprinkle generously with the toasted almonds and optional sesame seeds before serving warm.
