  • shallot, very thinly sliced1 small
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • extra-virgin olive oil3 tablespoons
  • white balsamic vinegar1 tablespoon
  • pure maple syrup2 teaspoons
  • Dijon mustard1 teaspoon
  • fine sea salt1/4 teaspoon
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste

In a small bowl or jar, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until emulsified.
