Wash the carrots and potatoes thoroughly. Peel both the carrots and potatoes, then chop them into small, uniform pieces (about 1/2-inch cubes) to ensure even cooking.

Place the chopped carrots and potatoes in a steamer basket over a pot of boiling water, or directly into a pot with enough water to cover them. Steam or boil until they are very tender and easily pierced with a fork, about 15-20 minutes.

While the carrots and potatoes are cooking, gently wash the fresh blueberries.

Once the carrots and potatoes are tender, add the blueberries to the steamer basket (or pot) and steam for an additional 2-3 minutes, just until they are slightly softened.

Carefully transfer all the cooked vegetables and blueberries to a blender or food processor. Add 1/2 cup of water. Blend until you achieve a smooth, consistent puree. For a chunkier texture for older babies, you can mash by hand with a fork or potato masher.

Allow the mash to cool completely before serving to your baby. Always test the temperature before offering.

Serve immediately, or store leftovers in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze in individual portions for up to 1 month.
