- Glutinous Rice Flour1 cup
- Salt1/4 teaspoon
- Warm Water1/2 cup
- Edible Flowers1 cup
- Vegetable Oil2 tablespoons
- 2-3 tablespoons Honey or Maple Syrup

In a bowl, mix the glutinous rice flour and salt.
Gradually add warm water, mixing until a soft, pliable dough forms. Knead for a few minutes until smooth.
Divide the dough into small, equal-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
Gently flatten each ball into a small disc.
Lightly brush a non-stick pan or griddle with vegetable oil and heat over medium heat.
Place the dough discs onto the hot pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until lightly golden brown.
While the pancakes are cooking, gently press an edible flower onto the top of each pancake.
Cook for another minute to set the flower in place.
Remove the hwajeon from the pan and place on a serving plate.
Drizzle with honey or maple syrup and serve warm.
