Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 6-inch cake pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
Add the peanut butter, vegetable oil, pumpkin puree, applesauce, and egg to the dry ingredients.
Mix until all ingredients are well combined and the batter is smooth.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before removing.
